I have no idea 
but I've experienced such also for the weapon arm or things you have carried and tossed out. They appear in the same way your video shows.
My guess is that the fly carcass was attached to you in a way, maybe it landed on your head.

I have seen the same thing since I play MH and on different servers. Flies, mantas, falling tentacles, anything that can fly in the air.
And not only in your field of view but also attached to some other monsters. They vanish after a moment.
Its unreal!
