More Resolution scale make things worse for me.
You tried "3.000000"? It looks exactly (pixel-by-pixel) as on D3D9 for me, basically solving what you inquired about.
Yes I tried it and its making more moiré. So I keep it like it is now.

Aphex wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2026 3:50 pm You have lags without V-Sync? just to your preference.
If you still want VSync, I recommend you still make these changes (to adjust game for DirectX), maybe disable V-Sync (in renderer preferences), and then adjust V-Sync-related options (Force it from there) in Nvidia Control Panel, to reduce lag.
Its not really lags but its jumpy how can I say its not smooth. Its much better with vsync on with D3D11 and ICBIND. I have it off with D3D9.
Its set to adaptive in Nvidia control panel and always been like that.

Anyway my main problem is moiré not vsync.
I am close to what I want but the colors are a bit off. They look more like 16 bits than 32 bits. Or maybe its saturation. I will try some things but at least its playable.

Yes I think it's called "screen tearing". Well, zero lag comes with such cost :D
Try "Fast" Vsync in nVidia Control Panel.

usually should be good "out of the box". Can you post example pics of how it's now and "desired" look?

My problem is not tearing but jerky FPS. I set vsync on and its ok for me. Its not a problem.

The problem is with dark areas and shadows.

D3D9 is more coherent more natural it has better blending.
D3D11 is showing big patches.

This and Brightness 0.5 (optional) should resolve the issue

It looks like known bug with weapon model missing triangles in some renderers (like holes in 'deemer). I have same issue on OpenGL also.
The only solution is to tell it to the dev's and wait until resolved: New issue

And that bring me back to the first time I have tried version 469. I think it was v469b. I did not like it because too many problems: input problem graphics problems glitchs problems.
At the time I think I took about 1 week trying to solve problems and to make it working like I want but I sent it to the bin.

And now I am fighting for 3 days with v469e only on graphics problems. Input is almost ok its not as direct and instant as v436 is but its playable. But the graphics are not ok because its not consistent between maps. Yes the graphics are beautifull and better than v436 but in some maps its too dark and the map after its too bright etc etc.

So no I am not going to create an account to report bugs. If someone here Barbie or Nobody or you want to do it then just do it. I see on ut99.org that the devs dont listen to players anyway. And I mean PLAYERS not these tech guys who have surely big knowledge about UT but are just interested in playing UT on their high end new PC with top graphics cards.
This is going to kill UT which is already 99.9% dead. There are less and less players every month. Every month. In 2 years there will be only 10 tech guys with their top PC playing local because no more players to play with. Firefox will die the same because they dont listen to users. They want to force us to do what they want. This dont work. I see on ut99.org there are still players on XP or 7. They are left behind.

So I am going back to v436. The graphics are less beautifull but they are consistent. No moiré no light problem no missing texture. No bad suprise. Everything work but some rare new maps.
Let it be I dont care. The end of UT must be fun and not a pile of problems and hard maps plus half silly annoyers.

Sad, but true.

Settings are scattered, don't work great "out of the box", have confusing naming, (like "Use HD textures" makes things worse, because it's forcing compression with JPEG squares, instead of nice and sharp paletted texture) and they refuse to auto-enable them for optimal performance, basically forcing casual player to find it out on their own. I think, they are focused on other, more serious issues first, like security vulnerabilities and severe rendering bugs etc – rather than usability.

Also about resolution scale – you can set it to negative value, to make everything made out of big pixels, which make text unreadable (instead of scaling it too). And when reported they say "I'm not taking the meme out"
That's also reason for never ending 469 version (instead of 470 you get e, f) – it has 69 in its number, and they confirmed this too.
there are still players on XP or 7
I am these players. On XP all works so fast, you even have hardware-accelerated audio.
there will be only 10 tech guys with their top PC playing local because no more players to play with
Yes and still getting 10 fps in some areas, because they never finished (started, but said they won't) hardware-accelerated lighting (it's still calculated on CPU!)
I am going back to v436.
Have you tried, to put renderer DLLs/Us from 436, to System folder of 469 (create backup first)? That's what I did when wanted to fix Galaxy audio or Soft renderer.

The end of UT
If game is client-server (and not "lobby" dictated by developers, who can always shut it down), there will be no end. even aliens from the future will be able to play UT, let alone today's people on 436.
